1.Undergraduate Programs

(1) Eligibility

(A) High school qualification or above with valid foreign passport.

(B) Those overseas applicants who were nationals of the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan must have held the valid foreign passport or certificate of nationality for at least four years, and over two years (nine-month actual residence in foreign countries within one year can be calculated as one year, subject to the entry and exit date) of the actual abroad residence record within the last four years.

(C) HSK-4 for programs in Science, foreign languages, and Chinese as a second language, HSK-5 for programs in Liberal Arts.

(2) Documents required

(A) Application form (download from http://ecnu.admissions.cn/);

(B) High school diploma and transcript

*The original one must be in Chinese or English with official stamps of the high school or authorized educational institute or notarized copy in notarized Chinese or English translation.

*Graduating students should provide an official proof of graduation for the time being.

(C) HSK certificate (photocopy)

(D) Passport (photocopy)

(E) RMB 400 (80 USD) for application fee

(F) For applicants of School of design and Dept. of Fine Art must submit latest original art works.

*The application documents and application fee will not be returned no matter you are accepted or not.

2. Postgraduate Students

(1) Eligibility

(A) Undergraduate qualification or above is required for master’s program; Master’s degree or above is required for doctoral program

(B) HSK-5

(2) Documents required

(A) Application form (download from http://ecnu.admissions.cn/);

(B) Highest education certificate and transcript

*The original one must be in Chinese or English with official stamps of the high school or authorized educational institute or notarized copy in notarized Chinese or English translation.

*Graduating students should provide an official proof of graduation for the time being.

(D) Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors

(E) Passport (photocopy)

(F) RMB 400 (80 USD) for application fee

3. Visiting Students

(1) Eligibility

(A) High school qualification or above is required for general visiting students; undergraduate or above is required for senior visiting students

(B) HSK-5

(2) Documents required

(B) Highest education certificate and transcript (original one or notarized copy in notarized Chinese or English translation)
